Random Cuteness~

These are the last of the September Photos. Not much to share about them, but they are just cute!

Being a Mom is the best! I enjoy and cherish every moment with my son! He is my angel and the light of my life~ Thank you Choo Choo for giving me such wonderful memories and filling my heart with so much love. Thank you Papa for helping me to create a wonderful little man! He is like you in so many ways. You are an amazing father!

I love this photo for so many reasons! Amanda is a great "big sister" to Choo Choo. They are best friends at times and even fight with each other like "real" brother and sister. I love that she has adopted him into her life and has taken on the roll of being his "sister." I love that he has someone as wonderful as her around to play with, look up to, and love. Despite the circumstances, I am grateful to have her and Ala in our family.

Playing outside is the best!! He still loves to be in his underoos...even outside where eveyone can see him...I think its cute! He is only 2, I still have time to work on this. I see his imagination coming out more and more as I watch him play and its hilarious! I love you baby!

September here we come...

So yes, it is now December and I am blogging about September events. Such as life, well, my life anyway.

September was a great month! Labor day brought Kristi and Alcie and my brother Kevin and his now wife, Jamie out for a visit. We had a full house as you can imagine. We made it work and, hopefully, everyone had a nice place to sleep and enjoyed their weekend. It was certainly an eventful one with lots of activities and no down time. It all started on Friday night when everyone arrive. We had dinner and attempted to just relax, however, with 2 kids (loud kids) it was not a relaxing evening. We let them play until everyone was totally worn out and headed to bed.

Well I was not able to sleep well that night because I was having some "tummy" issues, which continued on well into the next day. This totally sucked because Saturday was the day we had planned spend at Huntington Beach and then down to Marina del Rey for dinner with my Aunt. "Tummy" issues really are not meant to be taken to the beach. I was miserable, but toughed it out for the sake of my family and friends! I really was not a ball of fun as I usually am. LOL! The kids had a blast and that is all that matters. I started to feel a bit better after we ate and I napped for about 30 min. on the beach (thanks Kristi for watching the kids). After the beach we headed to Marina del Rey to visit my Aunt. She lives right up the street from Venice Beach. We had a great visit, even though it was short. Sadly, I was not able to take any beach pictures...

The next day we decided to take a drive up to Big Bear Lake. Its amazing up there! Here are a few photos to recap our adventures..

To wrap up our weekend togther, it happened to be opening weekend at the LA County Fair...$1.00 entry...cant beat that :) So we woke up early, against our will. Apparently we take too long to get up, ready, and leave the house...you try getting 3 kids ready for the day, packing bags, getting dressed, etc...then you tell me if you can do it in a shorter period of time...Anyway, we got to the Fair shortly after 10am and it was already blazing hot. Ging and Jayden popped in to join us! Even though we did  not stay too long, we had a great time!! It was nice to jump in the pool once we got home :) Thanks for the great weekend Kristi, Alcie, Kevin, and Jamie!!

Papa's Little Buddy

Choo Choo and Papa have a very special bond which, as it should be, is very different than the one he and I share. Papa and Choo Choo are so much alike since they both are wild, crazy, silly, loud, and always joking around~ which creates some very funny moments together that I truly enjoy witnessing!

I dont think I need to say much more on this post...these pictures tell all :) My loves...

Big Boy Underoos~Officially a Big Boy

At the age of 2, my son has been successfully potty trained!!! Lets all jump up and down for that one! I was always concerned about how I was going to complete this task. First I started with an Elmo potty, letting him get used to the idea of it. I would put him on it from time to time but nothing really became of that. Then I would bring him in the potty with John or myself in so he would see what its all about. He would go every so often, but nothing consistant and I truly think that was because I would forget to take him. Then I decided to just try putting him in training pants/undies. The idea was that it would force me to take him because I certainly didnt want to be cleaning up a mess all the time. Believe it or not, it worked! He just started to realize he needed to tell us he had to go and all just feel into place after that. I used the Elmo potty once and was totally grossed out when I had to clean it, so out it went and in came the seat tops for the "big kid potty." One day, out of the blue he decided that he wanted to "go potty like Papa" without anyone showing him how and has just done things his way every since. At night I would still put him in a pull-up because drank from a bottle at bedtime. He would seriously pee a river thoughout the night and I finally (I know) got sick of getting up at 2am to either change him, the sheets, or both so I simply "forgot" to bring the bottle with me when I went to visit Kristi and he had no choice but to let his beloved "dede" go. It was bitter sweet because that was the last part of him being a baby; something I have been desperately holding onto.

I totally miss the baby stages, but am so proud of how he is grown. I love watching him every moment just to see him figure things out, try them on his own, get frustrated or smile when he has accomplished something and is pleased with himself. He is a very independent little man, but will always be my baby!

Car Wash, Fat Lip, and Chuckie Cheese

Well I knew this was going to happen. It takes me forever to update my blog and before I know it, I have several events to document and I cant remember all the details I wanted to share about them. I guess starting with pictures is the way to go...

One of the many ways we try to sneak in some good quality family time...a car wash! Everyone gets involved! LOL! Its amazing to see how much fun Isaac has when he is "helping" John and I do things around the house. For now, he is my little helper...that wont last long, am sure of that, so I will enjoy for now.

This poor child was blessed with his mothers clumsiness. It seems like he gets hurt on a daily basis. This particular fat lip happend at school when he was playing near a cabinet and turned his face right in to it. He has had several bumps and brusises in his 2 years of life...I fear for what the next couple of years will be like. He is already way too daring.

Ah yes, Chuckie Cheese...I have discovered a great, cheap (yes cheap) place to take my son when we are tired of the park and ready to get out of the house. I say cheap because I seriously only spend about $5 when I bring Choo Choo here...amazing you say, yes! He does not like moving rides and is perfectly content just sitting/climbing on them pretending he is driving! He likes to play a few of the games but is mostly fascinated by the "Chuckie Cheese Band." I will enjoy this for as long as I can, because like many things, it too with change.

I have so much fun watching him play and use his imagination. He is just such a fun kid...light of my life, always making me laugh and showering me with his hugs and kisses!

Night out

Last night I was invited by a group of assistants to attend an LA Sparks Basketball game at the Staples Center. I was reluctant to go for a few reasons:

1) I only knew one of the ladies that was going to be there
2) Time away from my family (very hard for me)
3) Late night and had work the next day.

Nonetheless, I am happy I decided to go, it forced me out of my little shell for a while to enjoy a game in a private suite, with some very nice ladies. There was great food and wonderful conversation, not to mention the game was excellent. Went into overtime and the Sparks Won!

What made my night even better was the fact that my husband decided to go with me and bring "Choo Choo" along. They were able to get seats directly below the suite, so I could literally peak over the side and see them eating their popcorn and hotdogs! It was so cute to look down at them, Choo Choo clapping and pointing things out to his papa. I could see John occasionally mouth to Choo Choo to sit down or the "man" will get mad. The "man" being one of the staff members guarding the door near where they sat. I so wanted to be sitting down there with them, as I miss them both every day and long for more time with them, but again, it was great for me to get out and be with other people.

Stupid me, left the camera in my bag all night and forgot to get some photos to share...

Not left out...Just deserves his own post

My poor husband was neglected in the first post...not to alarm you all...I do love him very much! Hahaha! He is an amazing father and husband. He works very hard to make sure we have a nice life together. He has sacrificed so much for us, number one being that he left his home and daughter in the Philippines, to move here to LA . I know its not easy for him and he misses her so much every day. I know for a fact that I could not do it.

For those of you who know John, know that he is so outgoing and friendly. He can strike up a conversation with anyone, about anything from cars and sports to just random stuff like a crack in a sidewalk. He makes friends instantly because he is a very loyal, trustworthly man. I admire him for being so head strong, knowing what he wants, and not letting anyone tell him any different. He puts on a hard exterior, but deep down he is a huge softy and would never let anything happen to those he cares about.

He and "Choo Choo" have a very special bond. He can make him laugh with just a simple silly face or a strange (sometimes annoying) sound. I am incredibly jealous that Choo Choo has most of John's features. He is built like his father, long torso, short legs (chubbier of course), he has his nose, eye and hair color...he even inherited his fathers temper, poor kid! Hahah! I guess the only thing he got from me is my skin color, but even that changes immediately once he is in the sun...lucky kid.
I am grateful to have found John and am forever thankful for the life we created together.
